Cuter than a cupcake
My human picked up a back issue of Vanity Fair because she wanted to read a piece called "Addicted to Cute." Doesn't she know that I am the king of cuteness?
I am the cutest thing since sliced mousie paws.
I am the cutest kitty ever to loll on the dining room table.
Cuter than a cupcake, thanks very much.
But if you're making cupcakes, make mine with tuna, won't you?
It's my birthday, and I'll be cute if I want to!

It's my birthday!
I woke up early and took a bath today, because it's my birthday! Yesterday, my personal groomer had brushed me--including my fluffy ruff and tummy. Don't you think I look a lot better now?

A pear-shaped cat on his birthday
Today is my official birthday! Since my humans didn't know exactly when I was born, we decided that I would celebrate on Saint Aloysius' birthday--that's today.
Happy Birthday to me! Come on over and enjoy some tuna, some ham, or some poached chicken livers. Oh, you know you want to!

Little blue ball
My birthday's coming up on Sunday, March 9! I'll be officially 10 years old. But, you're only as old as you feel, and today I feel like it's Spring, and I'm a kitten with my new toy. Yes, it's just a simple rubber ball--a racquetball, to be precise--but I love to bat it around the floor. I also love it when I hit it under the couch and my humans have to get down on the floor and find it for me. My ball is nothing but fun for the entire family!

Busy birthday weekend
First, there was the tuna!
Then, the feathers!
And to top it all off, birthday greetings from the Carnival of the Cats:
"No award is greater than celebrating a cat's birthday. Especially when gifts are involved."
Thanks to all the cats and catted ones who sent birthday greetings. I've got to take a nap.
Now!
Now!

Birthday toys
They say a cat's got to drop a hint if he wants a nice toy for his birthday. Well, my official birthday is tomorrow, March 9. I discovered last year that March 9 is also the birthday of Saint Aloysius Gonzaga. Being a pious cat myself--after all, I invented the Church of Catymology, which celebrates the feline in us all--I realized at once that my birthday should be celebrated on March 9.
Well, ahem. What are you going to get me for my birthday? I mean, I can't go on playing with this empty toothpick box forever. In case you're having trouble, here are some suggestions.
Inexpensive frou-frou:
- Peacock feathers
- A jaguar ringtone for my cell phone
- Ahi tuna sashimi
- Another catnip mouse (I keep losing them under the furniture.)
For high-rollers:
- A catnip farm
- A lifetime supply of ahi tuna sashimi
- A vacation cottage in Key West
- A private jet to fly me there
For the socially concerned:
- A donation in my name to Animal Ark--a no-kill shelter that also works to reduce the homeless cat population through a Trap, Neuter, Return (TNR) program.
- A donation in my name to The Wildcat Sanctuary--caring for our big, wildcat cousins, many of whom have been abused by their "owners" or surrendered because they became too hard to handle. All contributions will be matched through April 30.
