Catching up
Greetings to all cats and catted ones! I know it has been a long time since I wrote anything or visited your blogs. Well, you just have to blame it on my humans, who went on vacation for two whole weeks. Not only did they leave town, but they took that scalawag Darcy with them. There he was, canoodling with the lovely Lola in Hawaii, while I was here at home with a bowl of dry kibble.
Yes, it's true that my friend Kathleen came and fed me every day and cleaned my litterbox and told me I was a good cat, but it just wasn't enough. So now I'm getting back at my humans by rubbing all over the computer and ordering zillions of DVDs. Also I have been sitting on amanuensis' lap and purring loudly. This is much better!
I promised to visit the other critters at the Friday Ark and this week's Carnival of the Cats (on Sunday) at When Cats Attack.

Whatever Lola wants
Yo, cats and catted ones! Darcy here.
I'm posting from Kailua, Oahu, Hawaii, where I have been visiting my new friend Lola. Isn't she sweet?
She has a wonderful back yard to hunt in; it's full of lizards. Though the ones I saw were very small. I think that's because Lola is so busy keeping them in check.
If you look closely, you will see that Lola has white feet like my friend Katz. But she's a little thing. I'd say no more than 6 or 7 pounds of her, but it's all muscle. Guess that lizard meat agrees with her.
And here is a picture of the beach where the humans went to play!
Now isn't that gorgeous?
I'm outta here!

When in doubt ... nap
It must be the winter blahs. Why else would so many humans be looking up stuff like:
Do cats snore?
and
Cats sleep anywhere?

Winter is unfair to felines
Despite my constant watching, window pawing, and whining, I have not made the snow go away. Humph!

Nap schedule
I'm taking my mid-afternoon nap. You know, that's the nap that immediately follows the midday nap. After the mid-afternoon nap, I usually have activity time--looking out the window or sitting on the couch beside one of my humans. That's when I like to be brushed, too. After the humans have dinner, I like to sit with them and sometimes I condescend to play with my feather toy. Then, when they go to bed, I nap between them. Sometime during the night, I usually get up to have a snack. Then I spend the early morning hours napping on the desk chair in amanuensis' office. When the humans wake up, I go and jump up on the bed to remind them that it's time for breakfast--my breakfast, that is.
